The great benefit to all of our clients is that they can, if they wish, speak directly to the person who will be conducting and presenting their case in court, rather than having to wait for the solicitor to arrange a meeting with Counsel.

Compared to the instruction of Counsel, the cost of engaging a solicitor advocate can be very competitive. For example, at some hearings a solicitor advocate can appear on his own without having to have an instructing solicitor, whereas an advocate would generally have to appear with instructing Counsel, which involves duplication of work and of cost. In addition, we are able to charge on an hourly basis whereas generally Counsel will charge a block fee, regardless of the time spent on any particular matter.
